Thinning Hair Loss
Thinning of the hair can happen for a variety of reasons, but the most common cause of such unfavorable condition is Androgenetic alopecia or also known as the male and female pattern baldness. This intensely affects men more than women and is due to the effect of the male hormone of Dihydrotestosterone or DHT in the hair follicle that destroys the hair production.
The thinning and progressive hair loss in men tends to show a specific pattern on the head. The hair starts to thin on the top or the crown of the head and gradually, the hairline recedes showing a horse shoe shape on the frontal area of the head. It is a different case in women, they don’t experience these hair loss patterns but they tend to have a more diffuse thinning hair loss which typically starts on the crown of the head.
Malnutrition and improper diet is quite often blamed for thinning hair. If the hair follicle is sustained inadequately with essential nutrients, chances are thinning hair is unavoidable to happen and worse, causes severe hair loss. In most cases, people are forgetting to take proper diet which interrupts the metabolism so it is necessary to be pro-active in consuming the right and balanced food with essential vitamins for the hair in order to prevent thinning hair and hair loss.
Nutritionists are advising patients with thinning hair and hair loss to have a daily intake of B vitamins, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, zinc, sulphur, magnesium and silica. These essential vitamins can be found in food supplements in the wide market. However, there are beneficial shampoos, conditioners, and topical treatments that are being serviced in different salons, pharmacies and hare care clinics that ease thinning hair and promise to promote thickening of the hair and hair re-growth.
In general, body conditions can cause thinning hair and hair loss. Conditions like anemia, lupus, thyroid diseases and nutritional deficiencies such as an inconsistent diet, bulimia, anorexia and inadequate consumption of protein have always been proven to trigger and intensify thinning hair.
